Jon Roberto

Assistant Vice President, Director of Sales - SMB

Jon joined Cadre in 2004 and has been successful working with his clients in Southern Ohio to secure their networks by consolidating products and opting for best-of-breed technology. He still has customers from the first days of selling at Cadre.  His philosophy of selling is “sell like I like to be sold to.”  This means not being pushy, but to make sure his clients have all the information they need in order to make a great decision concerning the security of their networks. Jon is part of making the Queen City Con aa success in Cincinnati.

Jon enjoys working at Cadre because we are focused on one thing: IT Security. This industry moves so fast that it is a constant learning process. Cadre is always innovating so management is always looking for new ways to do this. All suggestions are welcome and often implemented to make Cadre one of the leaders in our region of the country. Most of all, Cadre has a very family-like atmosphere that we try to pass onto our clients. With some of the sharpest engineers in the industry, we are able to give the same amount of expertise to our small clients that we give our Enterprise clients. Since Cadre only partners with companies that have the best technology in the market, there is never a doubt that our proposed solutions will do the job they were intended to do; protect their networks.

Over the years, Jon has specialized in working with small to mid-sized companies wanting to increase their IT Security stance. His advice to them start with the basics. Work down the list of the top 20 CIS Controls. These are the fundamental building blocks for securing your network. Next is to have an External Penetration Test done on your network. This will give you a good roadmap of issues that need to be remediated. And, find a good IT Security Partner that can help you make decisions on how to remediate. Lastly, we all know that the end user is the weakest link in any network.  A good Security Awareness Class is worth the time and effort to teach your users what not to do on the network.  90%+ of the malware is coming in from email.  Let’s make sure your users know what not to click on.
